BELAGAVI: A drunken ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) was suspended for misbehaving with a lady constable at the same police station, videos of which went viral in Belagavi.
The suspended cop is K Kadalagi, ASI of the APMC police station. The incident, which took place four days ago, came to light after videos went viral on social media.
Following the incident the APMC inspector Manjunath Hiremath gave the details of the incident to police commissioner of Belagavi. Based on the report and the CCTV footage, Kadalagi was suspended. Further investigation will be done, said police commissioner Dr MB Boralingaiah said.
