Karnataka: 69 nursing students of two Mysuru colleges test positive for Covid-19 in a week

MYSURU: About 69 nursing students from two colleges in Mysuru in Karnataka tested positive for Covid-19 the previous week.

According to the authorities, a majority of the students were asymptomatic and all have recovered.

"These students tested positive for the virus between November 16 and 23," said deputy commissioner Bagadi Gautham.

Sources said that a majority of the students were from outside the Mysuru district and had received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

All the staff and students had tested positive last week and there is no fresh infection this week.

"Samples have been sent for genome sequencing. Most of them are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic," officials added.
