Karnataka: 624 gram gold seized at Mangaluru airport

MANGALURU: Customs at the Mangaluru International Airport, seized 24 ct purity gold weighing 624g, valued at Rs 32.73 lakh, on Saturday.

It was seized from a passenger from Kasaragod in Kerala. The gold was concealed in powder form, inside a brown carton box carried as checked-in baggage.

They have also seized 24 ct purity gold of net weight 560g, from a smuggler arriving from Dubai, who is from Bhatkal, on May 28.
