Karnataka: 35-year-old man’s body found in drain

DHARWAD: The body of a 35-year-old man was found in a drain in Aminabhavi village of Dharwad taluk on Wednesday morning. The deceased is Mallikarjun Guledkopp of the same village.

People found the body in the drain near Dyamavva Temple and raised an alarm. Dharwad Rural Police, after being alerted, ho rushed to the spot and shifted the body to District Civil Hospital for postmortem.

The cause of death was not known immediately but the police suspect, Mallikarjun could have been murdered at some other place and his body dumped in the drain near his house.

A case has been registered at Dharwad Rural police Station and an investigation has been started.
