The Auburn Tigers are heading to the first Final Four in program history, and they got there by going through a blue-blood gauntlet of Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky.
In that win over North Carolina, the Tigers lost forward Chuma Okeke to an ACL injury. The sophomore arrived to the arena to cheer his team on in the second half on Sunday. Yet, one tasteless banner gave Auburn some extra motivation against the Wildcats.
A photo circulated on Twitter of a Kentucky banner that mocked Okeke’s injury while playing off Drake lyrics. Auburn’s Danjel Purifoy commented on the photo, and you can bet that the Tigers players saw it before the game.
Auburn’s Danjel Purifoy comments on this idiotic banner nearly an hour before the UK vs. Auburn game.

Following Auburn’s overtime win, many fans mocked the banner as a karmic consequence.
That was never going to end well, Kentucky.
