Karl Mecklenburg, DeMarcus Ware react to Von Miller’s 100th sack

There were a few bright spots during the Broncos’ 26-24 loss to the Jaguars in Week 4. One of them was Denver’s defense breaking its three-game sack drought.

Before suffering a season-ending torn ACL, Broncos outside linebacker Bradley Chubb recorded his first sack of 2019. Fellow outside linebacker Von Miller grabbed his first — and second — sacks of the year, too.

Before the game, Miller was sitting on 98 regular season career sacks. He became the sixth-fastest player in NFL history to reach 100 sacks on Sunday (124 games), just two games behind Lawrence Taylor.

DeMarcus Ware, who reached 100 sacks in 113 games (second-fastest in league history), took to Twitter to congratulate Miller on Sunday.

Miller and Ware were teammates from 2014-2016 and won Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 season.

Karl Mecklenburg, who ranks third on Denver’s all-time sack list (79), also posted a congratulations message to Miller on Twitter.

Including the playoffs, Miller has now totaled 106.5 sacks in his career.
