Karl Darlow one short of 100 appearances as Jason Tindall delivers goalie verdict

Newcastle United coach Jason Tindall says there is not much between Martin Dubravaka and Karl Darlow in terms of quality.

The former AFC Bournemouth star believes that Newcastle are blessed to have two senior stoppers of the calibre of the Slovakia international and the goalie wanted by Wales at the top level.

Darlow has kept goal for eight matches this season and would be making his 100th appearance for the club if he starts at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.

Tindall said: "I can only judge both goalkeepers from my time here, seeing them on a daily basis.

"Both keepers are very good.

"The football club is lucky to have two good goalkeepers of the quality of Karl Darlow and Martin Dubravka.

"So I think both are very good and possess different attributes."

Howe picked Darlow last weekend for the 3-3 draw with Brentford as he felt Martin Dubravka was not fully match fit yet.

Newcastle have not won a game at Arsenal since 2010 but Tindall is not interested in history.

He said: "Every game in the Premier League presents a different challenge, we know that.

"Different styles of play, different levels of player, different tactics.

"We just need to be prepared for that. We've done the work and we go into the game well prepared."
