Karl-Anthony Towns has been socially distancing himself during the coronavirus crisis and passing the time playing video games and watching classic Kentucky Wildcats games.
Towns, who generously donated $100,000 to the Mayo Clinic to aid coronavirus testing, caught a broadcast on Wednesday night of the then No. 1 Wildcats playing SEC rival LSU on the road during the 2014-15 college basketball season.
Kentucky, as usual, was loaded with NBA talent that year, and boasted a starting five featuring Towns, Willie Cauley-Stein, Trey Lyles and the Harrison twins Andrew and Aaron, with future NBA All-Star Devin Booker coming off the bench. Kentucky would win the game 71-69, and Towns absolutely lost it while watching the final few minutes.
The Wildcats would eventually advance to the Final Four, but were knocked out by Frank Kaminsky and the Wisconsin Badgers in the national semifinal.
