Karen Millen shop in Nottingham to close after company filed for administration

Nottingham's Karen Millen store is set to close after the company filed for administration earlier this year.

Online retailer Boohoo struck a deal to buy the fashion brands’ online businesses out of administration for £18.2million on August 6.

However, the deal did not account for the physical stores which has put 1,100 jobs at risk.

Now the Nottingham store, in Exchange Arcade, has put up posters in the windows announcing its closure.

According to the display there is at least 40 percent off all items inside.

The store administrators Deloitte said there was no closing date at this time.

A spokesman said: "The administrators are continuing to review the position but with no store closure dates being set yet."

It comes after two nearby stores also conformed they are closing.

MAC Cosmetics and Urban Decay, in Bridlesmith Gate, told Nottinghamshire Live the stores were due to close in the future, but a closure date was still being arranged.
