Kareem Jackson wants Broncos players to help bring community together

During his Zoom conference call with reporters earlier this week, Broncos safety Kareem Jackson spoke about potentially organizing a march with teammates to protest social injustice and bring the community together.

“This thing is affecting us as well, and I think that can start the healing process just amongst our community,” Jackson said. “It’s a sad time what we’re going through right now, and obviously sports is one of the biggest things in which everybody has to be on the same page. For us, the amount of guys we have on the field at one time, we all have to be on the same page.

“So why can’t we be on the same page when it comes to getting out in the community and doing something that’s a great cause and helping bring everybody together. For me, it’s all about trying to bridge the gap right now and it’s obvious that there is a gap. We have to try to bridge the gap some type of way.”

If Jackson does organize a march for Broncos players, it will likely happen within the next few weeks, the safety said.
