Kare Adenegan has been named the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.
Para-athlete Adenegan picks up the award after her spectacular 2018 which saw her become T34 100m WPA European champion, winning her first gold medal in senior competition and taking silver in the T34 800m.
The summer also saw the 17-year-old set a new T34 100m world record at the London Anniversary Games, before seeing off rival Hannah Cockcroft for the first time in her career in a thrilling championship race at the Diamond League.
Adenegan received her award at the Radio 1 Teen Awards in front of thousands in attendance at the SSE Arena, Wembley.
The Paralympian saw off competition from Freya Anderson (swimming), James Bowen (horse racing), Max Burgin (athletics), Jack Draper (tennis), Georgia-Mae Fenton (gymnastics), Anna Hursey (table tennis), Georgia Roche (rugby league), Ryan Sessegnon (football) and Maisie Summers-Newton (para-swimming).
The BBC Sports Personality of the Year will take place on December 16, with nominees to be revealed on the evening.
