Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s love for everything opulent is eternal. Living life king-size, he is a proud owner of several expensive things. Now he has added a brand new car under his name. He recently bought an Audi A8 L.
Worth Rs1.56 crore (ex-showroom, India), the filmmaker’s new ride comes with many luxury features. It is s propelled by a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that belts out a maximum power output of 336 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. In simpler words, the car can travel 0 km/h to 100 km/h run in just 5.7 seconds.
Sharing the news of the purchase, the official Instagram handle of Audi India updated a picture of Karan donning an all-black look with his new car. It read, “Evolution meets performance. Welcome, @karanjohar, to the Audi experience. #AudiA8L. In the picture, the filmmaker was also seen with the head of Audi India.

On the work front, Karan is all set to mark his return to the bigscreen as director for the first time since his 2016 release 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'. He recently announced his upcoming directorial venture 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead. The film will also feature Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. Penned by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy, it is set for release in 2022.
On the other hand, he also has a period drama ‘Takht’ in his pipeline. It stars Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
