Karamoko Dembele's Celtic coming of age continues with latest star turn

Karamoko Dembele's seemingly unstoppable charge towards the Celtic first team continued with another star turn for the reserves on Monday.

Since being promoted to the Hoops' second-string, the mercurial youngster stock just keeps on rising.

He played a starring role in a thrilling 3-3 draw with St Mirren last week and was in the thick of it again on a visit to Ross County.

Dembele started the match and he was on hand to score his side's second of the day in a 3-1 victory in the Highlands.

Mikey Johnston weaved his way into the box and appeared to be fouled, but the ball broke to Dembele who finished with aplomb.

His strike followed Stephen Welsh opening the scoring with a header from Johnston's cross.

Ruari Fraser's volley reduced the deficit after the break before Ewan Henderson rounded off the scoring a curling effort into the bottom corner.

Dembele caused problems for the County defence throughout the 90 minutes, playing in Armstrong Oko-Flex with a delightful through pass but his team-mate was flagged offside after slotting home.

It was a further coming of age moment for the teenager as he begins to star consistently in the Reserves after making the leap last year.

With Celtic just one win away from another league title, the door could soon be opened for an outing with Neil Lennon's first-team before the campaign is over.
