Kanye West 'walks out' of Piers Morgan interview as pair clash in fierce chat

Kanye West sensationally stormed off midway through his uncensored chat with Piers Morgan, the presenter has revealed.

The 45-year-old rapper, who is now legally known as Ye, was talking the the former Good Morning Britain host, 57, on TalkTV when the pair get involved in a heated discussion.

In a number of teaser clips shared ahead of the airing of the interview on Friday, the two stars battled with each other to make their voice heard. And, according to Piers, that seems to have proven too much in one instance as the Donda hitmaker walked out of the filming.

Piers claimed that Ye's walk-out left the team facing "quite a struggle to come and get him back" but went on to say he is glad the musician did reappear.

He said: "I’m glad I did because we ended up getting to where I think in his mind he wanted to get to. I think he wanted to atone for what he had done and the damage he had caused. But he was too fired up and too proud to actually go there until we got towards the end."

It comes after Piers confronted Ye on his anti-Semitic tweet in which he wrote: "I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE."

While the singer did apologise in the end, it's said to have taken almost two hours for him to do so. In that time, he had labelled Piers a "Karen", telling him "you don't hold accountability to the pain".

Piers fired back: "I'm not a Karen and I'm not going to cancel you and I'm not going to censor you, I'm simply going to challenge you on what you're saying."

His response was met by a grinning Ye who quipped: "You can't cancel me!"

Elsewhere in the chat, Ye seemed to mock Piers for being worth more than him, saying it should be him offering the presenter advice, not the other way round.

In the end, Ye said: "I will say I'm sorry for the people I hurt with the 'death con', with the confusion, I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I am sorry for the families of the people who had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through. And that I used my platform where you say, I hurt people, and I was hurt."

He added that it's "wrong to hold an apology hostage".
