Kanye West turns flight attendant to announce Sunday Service Coachella set

Kanye West turned cabin crew to announce he is taking his Sunday Service to Coachella.

The US rapper, 41, took over the tannoy onboard a flight to tell passengers he will be performing at the event on Easter Sunday (April 21).

“Attention 737 passengers,” he said. “We’d like to make an announcement that we just booked another show. We will be doing Sunday Service, sunrise, at Coachella.”

Coachella confirmed the set on Twitter with a post reading: “Kanye West's Sunday Service on Easter, Weekend 2.”

They tweeted the news with a video from this weekend’s Sunday Service where West broke the news to guests.

West launched his services on January 6. They have taken place in a number of different locations including his home in Calabasas as well as the Adidas headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

The sessions attract a handful of A listers including Orlando Bloom and his fiancé Katy Perry, Diplo, Courtney Love, Kid Cudi and Busy Philipps.

West’s wife Kim Kardashian is a regular attendee as well as his sister-in-laws Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

He has come close to being overshadowed by his five-year-old daughter North who entertains fans with her singing and dancing each week.

Police were last month called to the service in Los Angeles over “noise complaints” from neighbours.

Officers were seen talking to worshippers outside the Calabasas venue after neighbours reportedly complained about the noise from the large gospel choir. West has yet to comment.

Coachella takes place from April 12-14 and April 19-21. This year’s headliners include Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala.
