A Kanye West concert in South Korea has been cancelled “due to recent controversies involving the artist”.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, South Korean e-commerce company Coupang and ticket outlet Interpark announced on Monday the concert had been cancelled and sales of Yeezy merch suspended.
The companies did not elaborate on which controversies they were referring to.
They said all tickets sold for the gig, at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, would be refunded.

The 47-year-old rapper, who now goes by the name Ye, has displayed erratic behaviour and made controversial social media posts, including some which have been antisemitic.
In March, he sparked outrage by wearing a KKK outfit and a swastika necklace while claiming that he did not want to have children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian - the former couple share four children.
In May, Kanye released a song entitled “Heil Hitler”, which had quickly been adopted by neo Nazi groups as a “summer anthem”.
Meanwhile, in February, his appearance on the red carpert at the Grammy’s with wife Bianca Censori caused global outrage after she dropped the long black fur coat she was wearing to reveal that she had on just a see-through slip.
He’s also re-shared posts praising her for being “subservient.”
Recently, US musician John Legend said he is “sad” to see what has happened to his former friend and collaborator.
Legend, 46, was among the first artists West signed to his Good Music label in the early 2000s, and the rapper was an executive producer on his 2004 debut album, Get Lifted.
Speaking to the Times, Legend, known for his solo hits and collaborations with Sam Smith and Ariana Grande, said: “Back then Kanye was very passionate, very gifted, and he had big dreams not only for himself but also for all the people around him.
“He had so much optimism, so much creativity. It does feel sad, sometimes shocking, to see where he is now.”
Earlier in the year calls were made to X owner Elon Musk to remove West from the social media platform over a string of offensive tweets.
