Kanye West's former bodyguard claims 'self-destructive' rapper 'absolutely needs rehab'

Kanye West has been widely criticised for his string of vile racist outbursts, with his former bodyguard Steve Stanulis now claiming the rapper "needs rehab".

The 45-year-old, known legally as Ye, was recently banned from Twitter following a series of offensive and erratic tweets, one of which appeared to show a symbol combining a swastika and the Star of David.

He also repeatedly praised Adolf Hitler and admitted he "sees good things" in the Nazi leader during a rambling interview with US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Steve, who worked as a bodyguard for Kanye in 2016, says the musician appears to be in "self-destructive mode" and urged him to get help.

"He absolutely needs rehab," Steve said in a recent interview.

He alleged Kanye would "yell at people" for wearing "printed shirts" and had fired people "in two seconds" for trying to help him.

"There's some issues. I mean, he's obviously isolating or more, by saying what he is saying.

"Obviously, with all the anti-Semitic stuff now and all this stuff with all the sponsorships, you know, it's self-destructive. He's in self-destructive mode," Steve said in an interview with The US Sun.

Former NYPD officer Steve is getting ready to premiere his explosive tell-all documentary about his experience working for the rapper.

The film, titled 15 Days with Kanye, is being directed by John Bianco and produced by Stanulis Films Inc.

A synopsis on IMDb reads: "When A-List celebrity Bodyguard and former NYPD officer, Steve Stanulis, gets hired by Kanye West things go south rather quickly.

"After being hired for the Met Gala, Stanulis was famously released for flirting with Kim.

"As he takes you through his 30-million-dollar lawsuit, the robbery in Paris, and Kanye's strict rules, you'll get a look through Steve's eyes of what really went down during these 15 days.

"You've only heard one side of the story, until now."

Steve has denied any romance between him and Kim and previously said he was "professional" around the Kardashians star.
