Kanye West has been praised for his court-ordered community service and completing more hours than required.

According to TMZ, his lawyer read a letter to the court from the Dean of the Los Angeles Trade Technical College - believed to be one of the places where West undertook community service.

The letter said: “The contribution of the hands-on community service Mr. West has completed with our school has been of great benefit to our students and program.”

In 2014, West, 38, was ordered to complete 250 hours of community service and attend anger management therapy for a ‘battery’ conviction, following an altercation with paparazzi photographer, Daniel Ramos at LAX airport in 2013.

TMZ previously reported in 2014 that West was instructing classes at the college - which runs fashion courses. Photos were also shared on social media of the rapper-come-designer standing in front of a blackboard appearing to teach pupils.

The lawyer’s letter also revealed how West apparently completed an extra 12 hours of community service, racking up the total to 262 hours.

West gave a speech at the LA Trade Technical college in May this year also taking time to view a fashion show of student’s designs.

As part of the plea deal West entered in 2014, he is still technically under probation.
