Kanye West has reaffirmed his support for Donald Trump and has hinted at a 2024 presidential campaign in a series of new tweets.

The rapper, who has sparked controversy with his support for the president, started off the year with a string of tweets which endorsed Trump, and appeared to confirm that he will perform wearing a Make America Great Again cap in the future.

“Trump all day. Just so in 2019 you know where I stand,” he wrote, adding three dragon emojis to allude to the “dragon energy” which West believes he shares with the president.

“One of my favorite of many things about what the Trump hat represents to me is that people can’t tell me what to do because I’m black,” he tweeted, adding: “They will not program me.”

“Blacks are 90% Democrats. That sounds like control to me,” he continued.

“We will change the world. God is on my side. I am a Christian. I am a tax payer. I am myself. God is with us.”

He then tweeted “2024,” leading some fans to believe that the rapper is planning to run for president in that year.

Donald Trump: Kanye West may be the most powerful man in politics

West went on to confirm that he will “soon” be appearing as a guest on Joe Rogan’s popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, though he did not provide fans with a specific release date.

In October, West tried to distance himself from politics, after claiming that he had been “used” for the political gain.

“My eyes are now wide open and now realise I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!” he tweeted.
