Kanye West made a surprise brief appearance at the New York courtroom where Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently facing trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
West, who has collaborated with the disgraced rapper in the past, was seen arriving at federal court in Manhattan while the trial was on break, and was greeted by Combs’ youngest son, Christian Combs, according to Rolling Stone.
When asked by reporters outside of the courthouse whether he was appearing in support of Combs, West replied “yes” before entering the courthouse towards an elevator.

West did not respond when asked whether he would be testifying on Combs’ behalf, ahead of the latter’s defence presenting its case as early as next week.
West — whose name has circulated Combs’ trial since it began back in May — did not stay long at the courthouse.
Page Six reports that the rapper was not allowed to enter the main courtroom because his name was not included on a list of Combs’ friends and family, which was required to be submitted in advance to the court marshals.
As a result, West was reportedly directed to an overflow room located on the courthouse’s 23rd floor, where he watched the trial on a TV screen alongside Christian.
The rapper was seen exiting the courthouse around 40 minutes after making his shock appearance.
West, who has faced his own controversies in recent years, has been publicly supportive of Combs ever since his arrest last September, having called for his release on social media and allegedly dropping a song featuring audio of Combs from prison back in March.
Meanwhile, West last month appeared on a list of celebrity names provided to potential jurors in the Combs trial.
Now in its fifth week of testimony, Combs’ trial has included more details of the alleged freak-off parties hosted by the music mogul, as well as testimonies from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, her friend Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, and a former staffer who worked for Combs for eight years.
More recently, Combs was issued a sharp warning from the judge overseeing the trial, Arun Subramanian, after the rapper was reportedly caught ogling and nodding his head at the jurors.
Combs is facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, two charges of sex trafficking and two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He has pleaded not guilty and denied all allegations against him.
