Kanye West 'isn't in control of what's happening and Kim won't be able help him'

Kanye West has left his family and friends deeply worried after sobbing at his presidential campaign rally at the weekend and sending a number of erratic tweets, which have since been deleted.

Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter has suggested that rapper Kanye, 43, isn't in control of what he is doing and that his wife Kim Kardashian, 39, won't be able to help him.

The panelist said that she felt "really sorry" for Kim and that Kanye needs professional help.

Addressing the distressing situation on the ITV daytime show today, Kaye Adams explained that it is believed that Kanye has been diagnosed with bipolar.

She questioned: "What do we do? Do we stand and gawp?"

Janet replied: "It is really troubling because he had an episode in the past and he was taken to hospital before. I just think it's ghastly because he's lived his life in the full glare of the media.

"He's got millions of followers on social media. He's got a church and whole church services on his poverty. And now with his ramblings he's invoking religion, he's mixing up religion and everything else, with his views on abortion.

"But I feel really sorry for his wife Kim - there's very little that I think she can do because he's ill.

"He needs professional help, he needs someone to take him somewhere he can calm down."

Kaye questioned: "Who's that someone? Who can help him?"

Janet replied: "In my humble opinion, because I've had to deal with - over a number of years - someone who had episodes where their behaviour has been, frankly, antisocial and it's very hard for the person nearest that person.

"You need a neutral person, someone who's not emotionally involved and I think that's what Kanye West needs.

"My heart goes out to him because he's not in control of what's happening."
