Kanye West heartbroken over video leak

Kanye West announced on Twitter last night (Tuesday) that the music video for Black Skinhead, which had been shared online, was in fact an unfinished, leaked version.

The video, which appeared on Monday through a Universal Music staging site but not West's official Vevo, featured a rough, monochrome computer animated version of Kanye West as well as barking dogs and zombies. "Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens," Kanye wrote on Twitter.

The rapper politely requested that any website who had been hosting the unapproved and unfinished version should take it down, pleading, "Allow me and Nick to give the world what we've been losing sleep over."

He finally added: "Also who ever leaked the video … FUK YOU!"

Black Skinhead, which has now been taken offline, was directed by Nick Knight, who previously directed Lady Gaga's Born This Way video. The single was released on 4 July, and is the first track to be taken from Kanye West's No 1 album Yeezus.
