Kanye files for election ballot in New Jersey after crisis talks with Kim Kardashian

Kanye West has filed to be on the 2020 presidential ballot in New Jersey, according to state documents.

The Jesus Walks rapper, 43, has previously threatened to pull out of the race for US President, but it seems he's back to his campaign.

His filing comes amid claims he's in the middle of crisis talks with his wife Kim Kardashian after he said he's being trying to divorce her.

In the documents Kanye said he has got 1,327 signatures, much higher than the 800 needed to file to be on the ballot.

Kanye would also need to add a running mate and fourteen electors to vote for him if he were to carry New Jersey in the general election.

Earlier this month Kanye also filed with the Federal Electoral Commission, which is a requirement for anyone running for president.

Kanye announced his decision to run for US president on Twitter.

He said: "We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.

"I am running for president of the United States."

It comes after it was claimed that Kanye and Kim are having crisis talks after his Twitter rants.

He said he'd been trying to divorce her since she went to a hotel room with Meek Mill, though she says it was to discuss prison reform.

Kanye also took aim at Kim's mum Kris Jenner, saying she was banned from seeing their children.

Kim has also released a statement saying Kanye has bipolar disorder and is going through a difficult time.

He is thought to be hiding out in a bunker in his ranch in Wyoming.
