Kanye West has officially responded to Kim Kardashian’s divorce filing.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 40, filed for divorce in February after seven years of marriage and cited that ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split.
Now, over two months after Kim’s decision to file for divorce from Kanye – he has finally responded.
The 43-year-old Flashing Lights hitmaker asked Kim for joint custody of their four children.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, Kanye officially responded to the filing on April 9 and is requesting joint physical and legal custody of the former couple’s kids – North, Chicago, Psalm, and Saint.
Kanye also cited ‘irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the end of their marriage.
He also asked that their separate and shared property be determined ‘according to proof at the time of trial or settlement’, but did not request any spousal support from Kim.
Reality TV superstar Kim also requested joint custody of their children in the divorce papers filed back in February, with a source telling TMZ at the time that the split was ‘amicable'.
Kimye sparked divorce rumours last year after Kanye’s public outburst where he spoke about Kim almost aborting their daughter North during a presidential campaign rally in South Carolina.
Following the rally, the rapper took to Twitter to claim that he had been ‘trying to get divorced’ from Kim ever since she met Meek Mill in 2018 after they met to discuss prison reform in a Los Angeles hotel.
According to TMZ, Kim and Kanye have ‘hardly spoken’ since their marriage crumbled at the beginning of 2021, and after Kim filed for divorce.
While her love life has taken a hit, Kim’s career life couldn’t be any better right now after she was recently named a billionaire by Forbes Magazine.
