Kansas State freshman WR torches Mississippi State with 100-yard TD return

Kansas State tied the game against Mississippi State early in the fourth quarter Saturday thanks to this stunning 100-yard kick return.

After the Bulldogs took a 24-17 lead with a 47-yard field goal, kicker Scott Goodman sent the ball 65 yards to the Wildcats’ own goal line, where Malik Knowles caught it. But instead of going for the touchback, the freshman wide receiver took off.

Weaving through Mississippi State’s defense thanks to some solid blocking, Knowles had a wide open field in front of him by the time he hit the 20-yard line. Uncatchable, he cruised down the field and to the end zone, and with the extra point, the game was tied, 24-24.

That was Knowles’ third kick return of the day, but, by far, the most exciting.
