Kansas City Chiefs clinch 7th straight AFC West title

It’s been a while since we saw a team other than the Chiefs win the AFC West. Well, it’s going to be a bit longer now as with. three games still remaining in the 2022 season, the Chiefs have done it again for the seventh straight time.

The Texans put up a fight, but in the end the Chiefs secured the win and an 11-3 record on the season. And with the Chargers sitting at 7-6, the division belongs to the Chiefs.

It was 2015 the last time the Chiefs didn’t win the division.

The following season, in 2016, it was the Raiders loss to the Chiefs late in the season that took them out of the running for the division.

Even in their playoff season in 2021, they still finished behind the Chiefs. And the Raiders only regressed this year, guaranteeing they won’t be able to match or improve on their 10-7 record from last season as they already have eight losses.
