KANPUR: The police arrested two persons in the murder case of a mason Uday Bhan (30) of Roshanpur area of the district. The body of Uday, who went missing, was found lying in pool of blood at Pali-Sawaijpur road in Narwal on March 29.
The police identified the main accused as Mahesh Singh of Roshanpur and his accomplice Daya Shankar Kushwaha of Lauharepur Sawaijpur. The accused along with his associate had made the plan of murder.
The Narwal police, with the help of surveillance cell and field unit, traced the accused and arrested them along with the bike used in the incident. Both the accused have been sent to jail.
To recall the mason -Uday Bhan, who went missing on March 28, was found dead with deep wounds in the Narwal area of the district in the early hours of March 29. According to inspector Narwal JK Sharma, the two accused confessed committing the crime.
The accused revealed that the reason behind the murder was illicit affair, said the police. Mahesh Singh and his aide Daya Shankar have been booked under Section 302 of IPC.
