KANPUR: A day after the state government recommended CBI probe into the death of Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta in a hotel in Gorakhpur, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the case reached Gorakhpur on Saturday and started an investigation in this regard.
The team, headed by ACP Anand Tiwari, first reached the hotel in Ramgarhtal police station area. The other members of the team are DCP (South) Raveena Tyagi and additional DCP (West) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava. It reached Hotel Krishna Palace along with the forensic team and opened room number 512 of the hotel where deceased Manish Gupta stayed with his friends, and started investigation.
