A rapper widely considered to be one of the best and most important in British history is coming to Bristol on his upcoming tour.
Hot on the heels of the release of his sixth studio album, Hoodies All Summer, Kano announced a five-date UK tour including London's Royal Albert Hall, which was met with overwhelming demand.
As a result nine more UK dates have been added - including a show at Bristol's O2 Academy in February 2020.
Known for his razor-sharp wit and emotive lyricism, Kano blew up following the release of his 2005 debut album, Home Sweet Home.
Since then he has continued to push boundaries and at times has strayed away from grime to try his hand at other genres, each time displaying his musicianship and creativity.
His 2016 album, Made In the Manor , was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the 2016 MOBO Awards, and his latest release is already picking up glowing reviews.
The 10-track album sees Kano explore a more minimal, yet still uniquely British, sound which brings his lyrical prowess to the fore.
The multi-layered record combines hip hop and dancehall, featuring guest appearances from Kojo Funds, Popcaan, Lil Silva, D Double E and Ghetts.
Throughout the LP, Kano moves beyond the more personal themes of Made In The Manor to tackle the social injustices he sees developing around him on both a local and global level.

Kano will play the O2 Academy along with a full live band on February 3, 2020.
