Solutions

1:B - Take the name of a sport and stick 'roos' on the end. It's usually a winning formula, but not in this case, 2:C - Perhaps they are too busy eating smashed avocado brunches and not affording real estate, 3:A - An ingenious play on the word 'jack', 4:B - Tennis Australia has been known to refer to the Fed Cup team as the Cockatoos, and the Kookaburras represent the nation in hockey, 5:D - The Diamonds (netball), Opals (basketball) and Sapphires (basketball/bowls) are as real as they are valuable, 6:D - Yes, this is a sport, 7:C - Dolphins swim, Sharks play water polo and lacrosse and Crocodiles are adept at handball and lacrosse. Whales are one of the few marine animals that apparently don't play sport, 8:C - The Wallabies play rugby, the Joeys football and the Kangaroos rugby league. Possums are nocturnal animals that rarely get the chance to play any kind of sport, 9:A - The message is clear to opponents – these women are not to be messed with, 10:D - A nod to the Mighty Ducks, the Mighty Roos recently fell to defeat to New Zealand – aka the Ice Blacks
