Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’ to release on 27 May in four languages; check out new poster

On Monday, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram handle and dropped a fresh poster from her next ‘Dhaakad’ to announce the release date. The film will premier on the bigscreens on 27 May 2022, in four different languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam across the nation.

Sharing a new poster from the film where Kangana is seen in her action avatar as agent Agni, she wrote, “The unstoppable force of #AgentAgni is fast approaching! 🔥 The action spy thriller #Dhaakad will set the big screen on fire in 4 languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam on 27th May, 2022.@rampal72 @divyadutta25 @razylivingtheblues @deepakmukut @smaklai @hunarmukut @krulz59 @sohamrockstrent @castingchhabra @menon_rajiv @writish1 @chintan.gandhi.376 @bhavna_singh @jyotitulsyan13 @mrsheetalsharma @shravan.ravikantpatil @asylumfilmsofficial @sohelmaklaiproductions.”

The film was previously slated to release in April this year. However, it’s believed that the makers steered away owing to ‘too many releases’ in the month of April.

‘Dhaakad’ is touted to be an action-packed film based on child trafficking and the exploitation of women. While Kangana will be seen taking down baddies as an agent, it also stars Arjun Rampal as an anti-hero character. It also has Divya Dutta in a key role.

Meanwhile, Kangana recently made her OTT debut as a reality show host with 'Lock Upp'. In the show, 16 celebrities including Poonam Pandey, Babita Phogat, Sara Khan, Karanvir Bohra, Saisha Shinde and others will be locked in jail for months without the amenities and will be seen competing with each other for the winner's title.

The show premiered on Sunday on ALTBalaji and MX Player.
