Kane starts, Lucas out - The Tottenham team Nuno Espirito Santo should pick vs Watford

Nuno Espirito Santo has a big Harry Kane-question to answer as Tottenham Hotspur welcome Watford on Sunday in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old striker is fully back in the fold now after pledging his full focus to Tottenham this season and firing home two goals on his return to the starting line-up in midweek.

However, for Kane to return so one of the starting XI that has won back-to-back matches in the Premier League must step out of the team.

We got our three Spurs reporters - Alasdair Gold, Rob Guest and Emma de Duve - to name the side they would choose if they were in the hotseat.

Here's who they went for to start Sunday's match:

Alasdair Gold

It's all about the Harry Kane decision and which of the attacking players drops out.

It's a tough call but with Kane back on board and quite frankly one of the best strikers in the world, you can't leave him out if he's fit to start.

If it's on performances in the last Premier League game then for me, Lucas Moura was more disappointing than Steven Bergwijn at Wolves, although Espirito Santo is a fan of the Brazilian.

Cristian Romero had more injury issues following the win against Pacos de Ferreira in midweek so if he is fit then another bench role in the Premier League may still beckon.

Elsewhere nobody else pushed their claims enough to start in the Premier League, although Giovani Lo Celso will expect to get more minutes from the bench.

Gold's XI: Lloris; Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg, Alli; Bergwijn, Kane, Son.

Rob Guest

In an ideal world you wouldn’t usually go changing the XI on the back of two successive league wins but Harry Kane is now back for Tottenham.

After hitting two goals during Thursday’s European victory over Pacos de Ferreira, the 28-year-old should start through the middle in a front three.

That unfortunately means someone has to miss out, with Lucas Moura the man to drop out of the team after struggling at Wolves.

Steven Bergwijn deserves to start again but the return of Kane means he will have to move over to the right flank.

Elsewhere, the team remains the same as Cristian Romero has to once again settle for a place on the bench despite a good showing against Pacos.

Guest’s XI: Lloris; Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon; Skipp, Hojbjerg, Alli; Bergwijn, Kane, Son

Emma de Duve

After a good performance on Thursday night, Nuno Espirito Santo will have to decide which players he wants to give a place in the starting 11, as Spurs return to the Premier League.

Cristian Romero had a promising game in the Europa Conference league second leg, with his first start for Spurs. I think Espirito Santo might give him another chance to play alongside Dier, to see if he can continue the good performances, as long as he is fit enough.

There are multiple options for midfield, with great performances from Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil in the 3-0 win on Thursday night, so it was difficult to choose. However, with the solid performances in both Premier League games so far, I can see the Tottenham head coach keeping it much the same.

With Kane returning and getting two goals in the mid-week game, I think it would be disappointing to not see him back in the starting 11 in the Premier League.

de Duve's XI: Lloris; Tanganga, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Skipp, Dele; Lucas, Kane, Son.
