Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Monday, July 13.
Derby day player ratings
A north London derby win was just the tonic needed for Spurs following their disappointment at Bournemouth in midweek.
All of the talk prior to the game revolved around how Arsenal were on their way up, and were in a better position to challenge for Europe than their rivals, who looked to be in decline.
But a 2-1 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium saw the hosts leapfrog the Gunners, and gain the upper hand in the race for Europe.
Goal-scorers Son Heung-min and Toby Alderweireld grabbed the headlines, while Harry Kane and Lucas Moura impressed, but how did the rest of Jose Mourinho’s side fare?

Fans slam Aurier
One player who didn’t quite cover himself in glory on Sunday was Serge Aurier, despite Spurs claiming a huge result.
Things didn’t start in the best manner for the Ivorian after a mistake led to Alexandre Lacazette finishing superbly past Hugo Lloris.
Of course, it wouldn’t prove to be too damaging, but it was another worrying contribution from a player who’s had his fair share of errors.
Spurs fans made their feelings known after seeing the defender endure another poor 45 minutes.

Every word from Mourinho
It was a great day for Jose Mourinho, and not just because he tasted victory in his first north London derby.
Plenty of questions had been asked of the Portuguese after the uninspiring goalless draw at Bournemouth in midweek.
But Spurs came up with an answer when it mattered to defeat their nearest rivals, and there aren’t many things Mourinho enjoys more than a win over Arsenal.
The Spurs boss took part in his usual post-match duties as he discussed the derby win, attacking flair and his side’s European ambitions, among other topics.
