The recent shift in the Democratic presidential ticket has led to a significant increase in donations to Kamala Harris' campaign account, surpassing even Donald Trump's strongest fundraising days. An analysis of newly filed campaign reports reveals that Harris' principal campaign committee received more than double the amount Trump's campaign account collected during a three-day period in July.

Following Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race and the subsequent support consolidation for Harris as his running mate, her campaign saw a surge in donor enthusiasm, quickly closing the cash advantage that Trump previously held. Harris' joint fundraising efforts with aligned Democratic Party committees resulted in a remarkable $310 million raised in July alone, far exceeding the nearly $139 million reported by the Trump political operation.
The analysis focused on the sums raised by each candidate's main campaign committee, highlighting the impact of candidate-controlled money on television advertising discounts. This surge in fundraising has positioned Harris as a formidable contender in the presidential race, with her campaign announcing a total of $540 million raised since her bid began just over a month ago.
