Kamal Haasan showers praise on Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer 'Shershaah', calls it "excellent work"

Kamal Haasan recently joined the bandwagon of celebrities across the industries who have been showering praise on the Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer, ‘Shershaah’.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Haasan shares a series of posts along with a little note of appreciation for the makers of the film and the actors. He also stated that the depiction of the Indian Army in the film was apt.

Check out his tweets here:

He wrote, ‘Right from my childhood as a film fan and a patriot's son I resented the way the Indian army was depicted in some of our Cinemas. Shershaah is that exception that makes my chest swell with pride for my soldiers.’

Elaborating further, he added, ‘Thanks @DharmaMovies for promoting a talented director like @vishnu_dir . Congrats @SidMalhotra and @advani_kiara , excellent work.’

In an earlier interview with IANS, Kargil martyr Captain Vikram Batra’s twin brother Vishal Batra recalled his family’s meeting with Sidharth. He said, “When we met Sidharth for the first time we felt he had a lot of similarities with Vikram. During the course of our interaction with him, we found that he was a very good human being, very humble, passionate, and a loving guy. Hence we thought he was the perfect choice to play Vikram's role.”

Talking about Sidharth's performance, Vishal added, "Sidharth did a lot of hard work in understanding Vikram to the entirety. He interacted a lot with his friends, family members, and personally with me to understand Vikram's character, and I believe he has done a wonderful job and people will really love the action he has done in the movie.”
