Kalvin's winner, familiar issues, away fan trouble - the pitchside verdict from Elland Road

A goal from local hero Kalvin Phillips saw Leeds United end a week of centenary celebrations with a 1-0 win over Birmingham City - and a place back in the automatic promotion spots.

Turning out two days after the club turned 100 years old, Marcelo Bielsa's side bounced back from the 2-1 defeat to Millwall before the international break with a hard-fought win over Pep Clotet's side.

Bielsa named an unchanged XI for the match which was played in front of Leeds' biggest crowd of the season, but after dominating the first half and having nothing to show for it, it took a 65th minute striker from Phillips to settle the contest.

After a nervous finish Leeds were able to claim all three points and move back up to second in the table after seeing a host of fellow top six sides drop points.

There were ugly scenes following the final whistle when Birmingham fans clashed with police and stewards before order was restored.

A trip to Preston on Tuesday night looms, but before that watch LeedsLive's Joe Mewis and Beren Cross pick over the key talking points and field your questions in our post-match Facebook Live broadcast above.
