Kalvin Phillips pictured with his England team-mates in training for the first time

Kalvin Phillips has joined up with the England national squad and been sighted with his team-mates for the first time.

Gareth Southgate’s national squad have met up at St George’s Park National Football Centre in Burton upon Trent ahead of travelling to Iceland for Saturday’s match.

Among their number is Leeds United’s Phillips, who is hoping to make his national bow in Iceland or in Denmark on September 8.

After the initial announcement of the squad last month, Phillips has now finally been sighted among the country’s best footballers at St George’s Park.

In a video released through England’s official Twitter account, Phillips is seen walking out onto the main training field alongside Manchester City’s Phil Foden, who is also yet to make his Three Lions bow.

There is also a brief clip of Phillips in action, running in the background as the camera focuses on Kyle Walker and Harry Kane.

Phillips was missing from the United squad which lost 3-0 to Stoke City on Tuesday at bet365 Stadium.
