Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez and other Leeds United stars put their boots up for charity auction

Leeds United supporters can get their hands on star players’ football boots and help a good cause through a charity auction.

Fan favourites Kalvin Phillips and Pablo Hernandez are some of the players who have donated their boots to a campaign raising money for the Leeds-based Children's Heart Surgery Fund.

The money raised will provide treatment for young people with life-threatening heart conditions.

Players putting their boots up for auction on eBay include Patrick Bamford, Tyler Roberts, Stuart Dalla, Gjanni Alioski, Kiko Casilla, Mateusz Klich, Gaetano Berardi, Barry Douglas, Helder Costa, Luke Ayling and Leif Davis.

The money will be funding a dialysis machine and a super life support machine for Leeds Children's Hospital's Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The auction will finish on Sunday, January 19.

Angus Kinnear, chief executive officer, said: “I’m delighted we have chosen Children’s Heart Surgery Fund to be our charity partner, the work they do everyday literally helps to save lives and we want to be a part of that.

“We will work with them to raise as much money as possible with our incredible, loyal supporters that will not only help raise awareness about what they do but also support with a number of initiatives that will help to save the lives of these young heart patients and create the best environment for their families through some of the toughest times.”
