Kalvin Phillips, Helder Costa and Mateusz Klich – all the Leeds United team news for tonight’s Guiseley clash

Leeds United’s pre-season campaign got off to the perfect start last night, with a resounding 5-0 win over York City.

Jack Harrison (2), Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw were all on the score sheet as Marcelo Bielsa’s men kicked off preparations for the 2019/20 season.

Tonight will see the other half of United’s first-team regulars, and a few youngsters, in action, as they face Guiseley at Nethermoor Park.

Leeds fans will be queueing around the block to get a look at their new recruits, with summer acquisition Helder Costa expected to make his informal debut.

The former Wolves winger is expected to light up the Championship following his return to the second tier and Whites supporters should get a first glimpse of their record buy this evening.

Ben White is also expected to make his first bow in white, with Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi the centre-back pairing at York last night.

The on-loan Brighton defender is expected to play a key role in Bielsa’s squad this season, following the departure of Pontus Jansson.

Kalvin Phillips is also set to take to the field, despite speculation over his future at the club.

United are believed to be attempting to tie down their prized asset to a new contract, following interest from Aston Villa.

Having already sold Jack Clarke and Jansson to ease any lingering fears over Financial Fair Play regulations, United are throwing out all the stops to keep their academy graduate.

Leeds ’ international contingent will be back in action, having returned to training after their countries summer exploits.

Mateusz Klich, Ezgjan Alioski and Bailey Peacock-Farrell are all expected to feature for the Whites’ side tonight.

Luke Ayling is the only expected absentee, having picked up an injury in training.

Supporters can watch their new signings in action for free on the LUTV, which is available on the Leeds United website or through the smartphone app.

Kick-off at Nethermoor Park is at 7:45pm.
