Kallum Alderson jailed after friend Alex Flint died when stolen car crashed into wall in Leeds

A man has been jailed after he caused a deadly crash in Leeds.

Kallum Alderson, 25, of Harlech Street in Beeston was jailed on Friday after he pleaded guilty to robbery, attempted robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.

Alderson had stolen a Vauxhall Zafira in the early hours of Tuesday, December 14 from a property in Ganners Road, Bramley.

A 28-year-old man had received a stab wound to the back during the robbery.

The stolen car was later spotted by police in Leeds and Bradford Road and made off before crashing into a wall in Bradford Road, Leeds.

Alex Flint, 30, who was in the car at the time of the crash was killed.

Recorder Paul Greaney QC jailed Alderson for 14 years at Leeds Crown Court.
