Kaleb Wesson suspended for violation of athletics department policy per Ohio State release

Ohio State big man Kaleb Wesson has been suspended per a release today from the University.

There is no timeline given other than stating that he’ll return this year, and no direct action noted, but he is being suspended for a “violation of Ohio State Athletics Department policy.”

His suspension couldn’t come at a worse time as the Buckeyes try to elbow their way into the NCAA field. As it stands right now, Ohio State is likely safely in, but another string of losses down the stretch could jeopardize its ability to put together a good enough resume to get in.

Losing its best player and big man down in the post doesn’t help matters at all. The Buckeyes still have to go to Purdue, at Northwestern, and then host Wisconsin at home to round out the regular season.

This is an emerging situation, and we’ll have more as more is shared.
