Kaleb Wesson still out for regular season finale against Wisconsin

He’s still in the penalty box, though we still don’t know why?

Chris Holtmann was asked about Ohio State big man Kaleb Wesson’s status today and the news is not good for Buckeye fans hoping for his return. Holtmann let everyone know that the best player on the roster will still not be a part of things Sunday against Wisconsin on senior day.

Speculation still swirls around the reason for the suspension, but we may never know. Whatever it is, it must be fairly significant if it is “against athletic department policy,” and has Wesson now headed towards a three-game suspension.

Ohio State must now face the daunting task of taking down a ranked Badger team while sitting squarely on a bubble that’s ready to burst at any time. It has slid in the latest bracket projections, and one has to believe there will be a farther fall with another loss.

Who knows if Wesson is learning a lesson not, but his absence on the floor might be the reason Ohio State has a post-season game at home … in the prestigious NIT.
