A coffee and cake shop inspired by the American Dream is opening in Leicester
Kake Temptations is opening in London Road, not far from the city railway station, with plans to serve a big range of homemade treats including 14 different types of gourmet cupcakes, giant, chunky cookies and layered American cheesecake.
The business is owned and run by Sumaiya Patel, who launched the company eight years ago in her home town of Batley, West Yorkshire.
She moved to Leicester five years ago and set up a small shop in Gypsy Lane with her husband.
After nine months they moved into an industrial unit in Maidstone Road, Leicester where they opened a factory shop selling their freshly baked products.
Now, they are opening the American-inspired bake house, selling hot and cold treats plus American-inspired sandwiches and savoury snacks.
Sumaiya said Kake Temptations would stand out because of the variety of freshly prepared items, and the constantly changing menu.
Customers can also expect to find cookies which will be served warm, plenty of different brownies and eclairs with a Kake Temptations twist.
In addition to the new Leicester eatery, Kake Temptations is opening a store in Batley which will officially open at the end of January.
