Kaka chooses between former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes

Ballon d'Or winner Kaka says he would 'have' Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard rather than Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes.

The Brazilian legend says he 'admires' Gerrard after their midfield battles in the 2005 and 2007 Champions League finals, with one victory between them, it shows the impact the Scouser had on his fellow professionals.

Kaka, while speaking to Sport Bible as part of their 'either/or' series, said: "I like Gerrard.

"Because we had this challenge between ourselves in 2005 and 2007, I really admire him.

"Of course, Lampard was pretty amazing, Scholes the classic.

"But I'll have Gerrard."

Gerrard, the current manager of Rangers, enjoyed a memorable career on Merseyside, winning notable trophies such as the Champions League in 2005 and the FA Cup in both 2000/2001 and 2005/2006.

The midfielder also claimed numerous individual titles including the PFA Players' Player of the Year in the memorable 2005–06 season.
