Kaiser Chiefs to release special Leeds United-inspired records following huge Elland Road show

One of this summer’s highlights was Kaiser Chiefs’ special Leeds United centenary gig at Elland Road.

On the day, thousands of fans of the football club and indie band rocked Elland Road during the full day of music. It welcomed support from The Vaccines and The Sherlocks - with the latter even doing a rendition of club anthem Marching On Together.

Former footballer turned TV presenter Chris Kamara even came on stage to introduce the Kaiser Chiefs' headline slot.

Now, the Leeds band are set to return to their home city for two special shows to launch their new album Duck. The band’s new record also has a knowing nod to Leeds United and our city.

The band, led by Ricky Wilson, will be playing at Brudenell Social Club twice on Sunday, July 28. The performances will take place at 8pm and 9.30pm with two different setlists expected for each show.

Fans can buy tickets for the event through the Crash website.

And, you’ll notice there’s a few bundles to pick from with many paying tribute to our city and Leeds United. There’s appropriately coloured vinyl in the ‘Leeds, Leeds, Leeds’ described music and ticket packages.
