Celtic have been drawn to face either Kairat Almaty or Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League play-offs.

Brendan Rodgers' men will be at home first on the midweek of August 19/20, before travelling out to either Kazakhstan or Slovakia a week later for the return leg.

It will be confirmed which of the two teams, Kairat or Bratislava, Celtic will face once they play each other in the third round of Champions League qualifying.

The second leg then takes place back in Bratislava six days later, on Tuesday, August 12, with a 7.15pm kick-off in place.

Kairat are currently midway through their league season. They lead the way in the Kazakh Premier League. Nineteen games in, they sit three points clear of FC Astana, who Celtic faced in the Champions League play-offs under Rodgers in 2017.

Bratislava, on the other hand, are just two games into their season, having drawn one league game and won the other so far.

Celtic will be eagerly watching over the next week as their potential opponents face off.
