Kaide Gordon makes Liverpool debut as team confirmed vs Norwich

Jurgen Klopp makes nine changes as Liverpool get their Carabao Cup campaign underway at Norwich City.

As expected, the Reds boss has rotated heavily from the side that beat Crystal Palace 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, but Kostas Tsimikas and Ibrahima Konate keep their place in defence.

Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley make their senior debuts for Liverpool in a new-look right side for Klopp in Norfolk.

Gordon, who turns 17 in early October, becomes the fifth youngest player in Anfield history as Northern Ireland international Bradley takes his place in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Joe Gomez returns to the side to partner Konate as he captains the team for the first time in the absence of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Virgil van Dijk.

In an adventurous-looking midfield three, Naby Keita starts alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones, with the latter making his 50th appearance for the Reds.

Liverpool: Kelleher; Bradley, Gomez, Konate, Tsimikas; Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones; Gordon, Origi, Minamino.

Subs: Adrian, Henderson, Jota, Robertson, Phillips, Morton, Balagizi.
