Kaia Gerber and Ayo Edebiri recently solidified their friendship with matching tattoos, as revealed by Gerber at the premiere of her Apple TV+ series, Palm Royale. The decision to get inked came after Edebiri hosted 'Saturday Night Live' on Feb. 3, with Gerber supporting her at the show. Gerber mentioned that Edebiri suggested getting tattoos the next day, and she was on board with the idea.
Although the specific design of their matching tattoos was not disclosed, Gerber shared that she typically follows Edebiri's lead when it comes to such decisions. Gerber, known for her collection of body art, got her first tattoo in 2018, featuring her middle name 'Jordan' on her inner bicep. She has since added various tattoos, including a winged angel on her ribs and a Picasso painting on her inner arm.
Friendship tattoos are not new to Gerber, as she and Cara Delevingne have 'solemates' written on their feet. Additionally, Gerber and singer Charlotte Lawrence have multiple matching tattoos, such as a drawing of a mermaid with a glass of wine. Gerber expressed in an interview that all her tattoos hold significance as they represent important moments in her life.
Despite her appreciation for tattoos, Gerber was seen in the process of removing a heart tattoo on her shoulder at the InStyle Awards, indicating a change of heart about one of her designs. Nevertheless, the bond between Gerber and Edebiri seems strong, with hopes that their friendship will last a lifetime.
