This is your Chelsea digest for Sunday, July 19.

Kai Havertz round-up

Chelsea are on the lookout to make more additions this summer, with Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz emerging as a key target for Frank Lampard.

The Germany international has established himself as one of the hottest talents in European football, with his performances attracting the attention of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich alongside Chelsea, as the Blues face competition for the signing.

football.london understands that Havertz is one Frank Lampard's top transfer priorities having already snared Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

With that in mind, here is a round-up of all the very latest news on Chelsea's pursuit of the German star and what we know so far.

Willian contract admission

Willian says he would sign a Chelsea contract tomorrow - if the Blues offer the terms he wants.

The Brazilian is set to become a free agent this summer after signing a short-term extension to see out the season with the Blues.

There are hopes that a longer deal could be agreed that would see him stay at Stamford Bridge, but the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been linked with taking him on a free transfer.

William says he has heard talk of clubs being interested in him but that he has not had any official offers elsewhere yet.

Hazard hints at Chelsea return

Eden Hazard has previously vowed to return to Chelsea after he has finished at Real Madrid, to open the door to a spectacular link-up with some of the Blues' new signings.

The Belgian winger completed an £83.53 move to the Bernabeu last summer after enjoying a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge after joining from Lille in 2012.

Hazard won two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles, one FA Cup and a League Cup in his seven years at Chelsea and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

The 29-year-old made no secret of his desire to join Zinedine Zidane's side towards the end of his spell in west London, and eventually completed the big-money transfer at the end of 2018/19.
