Kai Havertz has put Arsenal and Bayern Munich on alert by admitting he “knows what he wants” regarding his future at Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal scouts have been watching the 19-year-old midfielder as club chiefs prepare to continue their Emirates rebuild this summer.
However they’ll face competition from Bayern, with Sport Bild claiming this week that the German giants will move in with an offer soon.
The Allianz Arena outfit are prepared to fork out £65million for the Germany international, though Leverkusen are reportedly holding out for £86m.

And Havertz, speaking to Eurosport , has now opened up on the speculation linking him with a move elsewhere at the end of the season.
"The media push it all up a bit and I know that I have a contract here and I want to do everything we can to put us in an international position at the end of the season," said Havertz.
"There is a lot of speculation, but I still have a contract here until 2022. In the summer we know more.

"I do not believe everything that's in the paper, there's a lot of talk in general, some things are true, some are not.
“I personally can handle the headlines well because I know what I want."
The teenager has 10 goals and four assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances this term.
